Project Type: Customer Story Video | International Production | Lean Crew Execution

As Head of Project Management for Microsoft’s Copilot Customer Story featuring Victoria University and Fusion5, I led the full execution of this cross-border production, from strategic pre-planning to final delivery. With a three-person lean crew and multiple international stakeholders, I balanced travel logistics, legal coordination, remote team onboarding, and cross-timezone approvals to bring this higher education success story to life. Through structured workflows and flexible project management, I ensured that the creative vision, production quality, and brand compliance all aligned seamlessly across continents.

My Role:

  • Oversaw international travel, scheduling, and gear logistics for the Producer and Director of Photography

  • Recruited and onboarded an in-country production team member to support local execution

  • Directed the pre-production process, including script development and stakeholder alignment

  • Managed all legal documentation and release forms to meet Microsoft’s brand and compliance standards

Outcome:

The final customer story, now published on Microsoft’s official channels, showcases how Victoria University is using Copilot to drive innovation in education. Despite geographic and logistical complexity, the project was delivered on time, demonstrating the power of lean execution, proactive planning, and precise coordination on a global scale.

Project Management Approaches

  • Lean Production Strategy: Managed a compact, agile crew to deliver top-tier quality with minimal overhead

  • Hybrid Workflow Execution: Applied Agile methods for flexible task management and Waterfall planning for pre-production and approvals

  • Cross-Timezone Synchronization: Used asynchronous collaboration tools and structured checkpoints to align global teams

  • Risk Mitigation: Built contingency buffers into the timeline to manage travel delays, legal clearances, and shifting logistics
