Tim Hicks Music Videos: "One More" and "I Miss Tom Petty"

Coordinating Location-Based Production Across Iconic Los Angeles Backdrops

Project Type: Music Video Production | On-Location Coordination | Multi-Shoot Logistics

As Assistant Producer and On-Set Production Coordinator for two music videos by country artist Tim Hicks, “One More” and “I Miss Tom Petty,” I managed all location-based production logistics across several iconic Los Angeles backdrops. From permits and prop sourcing to talent coordination and on-set execution, I played a key role in facilitating a smooth, creatively driven production process across both shoot days.

My Role:

  • Secured film permits and coordinated approvals for public LA locations

  • Booked key crew members, including hair/makeup artists and production assistants

  • Oversaw daily set logistics and call times to maintain shoot momentum

  • Managed release forms for all on-camera talent and location use

  • Sourced props and wardrobe need to support the creative vision

Approach:

  • Location-First Planning: Navigated LA’s permitting process and coordinated across agencies for fast approvals

  • Structured Pre-Production: Developed clear crew schedules and shoot-day run-of-show for efficient set operations

  • On-Set Adaptability: Resolved real-time logistical needs to keep production moving

  • Collaborative Communication: Served as liaison between director, artist team, and production crew

Outcome:

Both music videos were executed on time and within scope, capturing the energy of Tim Hicks’ storytelling against some of LA’s most iconic scenery. My coordination supported the creative team’s vision while maintaining production flow, compliance, and crew cohesion on location.
